History Book

Today, I listened to Dan Carlin's Hardcore History, ghosts of he ostfront III. It talked about the horrible horrible story of the battle at Stalingrad, now Volgagrad. It is a free podcast, and II can't explain what it is about to you. You just must listen to it. It is one of the lesser known battles, but odd because nobody really knows about it. The soviets and Germans lost more people in that battle than some armies did in the entire war. You have to listen to understand.

Math

I just took a math test, "The rules of arithmetic" and passed with 95%. Yippee. Uno hora is how long it took.

Mi Horario

I have recently put together a final draft schedule for school. I think it looks quite nice. I don't have a scanner, but if I did I would show it to you. (Not the scanner, the schedule.) My classes are:
Math
Science
Government
History
Literature
Film
Spanish
Piano
I hope that with these subjects my improved schooling will be much better.

Hard Core History

I am listening to a podcast called Hard Core History by Dan Carlin. The section I'm listening to is called Ghosts of the Ostfront. The Ostfront is the part of russia where hitler stopped his invasion. I've listened to the invasion of moscow, where nazi soldier's boots were frozen to the ground, with no preparation for the winter. Their generals were so sure that moscow would be invaded by the time winter started. They were wrong. Soviet soldiers who had been stationed in siberia were being sent back to moscow, and the other soldiers had no idea that they were there. The Soviet soldiers had skis, and warm winter clothes, but the nazis had assumed that their people were under the same conditions as they were. The soviet tanks and aircraft had been built to withstand the cold.

History Book

Today's passage from history is a miraculous story about unimaginable odds. a group of only 300 spartans were sent to secure a pass until the rest of their army could arrive. The pass, called the pass of Thermopylae I think, had high sides and a narrow road. On the other side, there was a large field. Sometime later, an army of 10,000 or so Persians was ready to invade. In a long gruesome battle, the spartans had managed to hold off any kill many of the Persians until the rest of their army arrived and defeated all of the Persians. For the whole version, look it up somewhere. It is a very cool story.

Book of The Week

I stand (sit) corrected. I just finished the last half of this book this morning. In two hours. It was that amazing. Much better than the first, although this one was slower to start than the first. The games were fiercer, more dangerous, more interesting, much better. during reading, I was thinking that I should stop. Do something else for a little. But no. I was also thinking, dang, this is awesome. I won't stop until I finish. That is what happened. I guess that part of my thoughts or thinkings is a little more persuasive.

Book of The Week

I am currently reading this book. In my opinion so far, It isn't as good as the first one. It is a really slow start, which is strange for a sequel. Many other #2's I've read like Harry Potter or Lord of The Rings start out by pulling you into the book. This book was honestly very hard for me to get into at the beginning, unlike the first. Other than that, this book has been good. I've heard some comments about the part of the book that I'm at. Her and Peeta are just about to go into the games again. The quarter quell. All in all, this has been a good book. Just not as good as the first.

Reality

I just got smacked into another reality whilst reading last night. If you know me, you might find out what that is. If not, who doesn't love a mystery? Muahahaha!

Book of The Day

Today, this is my first class. Early starts rock! Something about me sleeping in messes up my whole day. Anyway, This book is about some general ways to become rich. A man named Bansir wanted to be rich. He told his idea to a friend, Kobbi. They decided to go and visit a friend named Arkad, who was the richest man in the city, except for the king. He gathered up many other men who wanted money too. He held a giant class and began teaching them "The Seven Cures to a Lean Purse." It is a great book and if you would like to learn more about it, read it for yourself. Although it is teaching something, it tells it like a fiction book, which makes it easy to read. So far, in all the books I've read, you can only get rich by spending more money. What's up with that?

End of Day Informe

This is something my dad decided I should do after each school day. So, today, I started out with The Richest man In Babylon. I read and wrote about the fifth and sixth cures to a lean purse which are to own the house you live in and to insure an income for your future. By the way, today hasn't gone well at all. I didn't wake up until almost noon, so I'll have to make up more tomorrow. Next, I read the constitution two times through. I've already memorized the preamble and amendments I - III.

The Monotony of Reality

Has anybody ever wanted something really bad that seems possible, but later gets a big smack in the face of reality? The smacking is just beginning for me.

Book of The Day

Today I am reading this for my first class. It is a great book and talks a lot about legal plunder. I read it through once and I'm reading it again while writing a paper to understand it better. Did anybody else get that crazy storm last night?

Book of The Day

Today is friday! I'm still in school though. My first class of the day today is government, so I'm reading "The 5000 year Leap" By Cleon Skousen. The main Idea of this book is that when the founders founded America, the change of government was so advanced it should have taken 5000 years to do instead. It talks about the principles that made this possible.

Book of The Day

Today I am in school, homeschool, so I am obviously reading a book. The class I'm in is personal leadership so my dad gave me "The Magic of Thinking Big" by David J. Schwartz. It's about succeeding and how to do it. It's kind of an old book. So far I've learned about positive thinking, excusitis, conquering fears, and how to think big. I still have a lot left. It's a really great book. If you haven't already, you should read it.

Parkour videos

Worldwide JAM Parkour Films Some parkour videos.
p.s. dad this counts as school. I'm researching what I want to learn in P.E.

Video Games

A few days ago, some video games I had ordered finally arrived. My parents have a rule that video games and T.V. cannot be watched during the week. Only friday after school through sunday night can this be done. They made an exception. If I did all the dishes in the the sink, which was quite a lot, I could play after school for a week, even on the weekdays. Yesterday, my wish came true. I finally finished!
I got the lord of the rings trilogy and a war game called worms. They're all really fun.
